4 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari is a trip which will take you to some of the amazing wildlife viewing destinations in the northern part of Tanzania such as Serengeti national park and the Ngorongoro conservation area.

During your 4 days Ngorongoro and Serengeti safari, you will engage in morning and afternoon game drives around Serengeti national park and also explore the Ngorongoro crater which is the world’s largest inactive caldera.

You will also look out for different wildlife species such as the big 5 like elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalos and leopards during your game drives in Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro conservation area in the northern part of Tanzania.

Your 4 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari will start in Arusha and also end with drop off in Arusha after your game viewing experience.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Ngorongoro crater

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha on the 1^st day of your safari and welcome you for the safari. You will also have a short briefing before continuing to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will check in at your lodge before continuing for a game drive in the Ngorongoro crater.

You will descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater as you search for different wildlife species such as elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, hippos among others. You will also look out for flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi as you explore the crater which was formed as a result of collapse of a volcano. Your guide will drive you back to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight at Hhando coffee lodge.

Day 2; transfer to Serengeti national park

After breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Serengeti national park where you will check in at your lodge and prepare to have lunch. You will also engage in a game drive around the vast plains of Serengeti national park as you look out for different wildlife species such as elephants, lions, buffalos, cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, hippos, rhinos, waterbucks among others.

You will also enjoy the beautiful views around Serengeti national park during your afternoon game drive and later return to your lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 3; full day in Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast early at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare for a full day game drive in the national park. you will start with a morning game drive around the central part of Serengeti which is also known as the Seronera area where you will see different wildlife species like elephants, lions, leopards, antelopes, buffalos, cheetahs, rhinos, gazelles, wildebeests, zebras among others.

After your morning game drive in the savannah of Serengeti national park, you will engage in an afternoon game drive around the national park in search of more wildlife species like gazelles, antelopes, wildebeests, hartebeests, hippos, giraffes, elands, lions, leopards, hyenas among others. You will return to your lodge after the full day game viewing experience around Seronera area and your dinner and overnight will be at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 4; drive to Arusha

On the last day of your 4 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, you will start with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park. After checking out of the lodge, your guide will drive you back to Arusha and drop you off at the airport or your hotel in Arusha which will bring your safari to an end.
