4 Days Serengeti & Lake Manyara Wildlife safari is a safari that takes you to the northern part of Tanzania across the endless plains of Serengeti national park to the tree climbing lion’s habitat of Lake Manyara national park.

You will enjoy a hot air balloon safari experience during your 4 days Manyara and Serengeti safari and enjoy views of the different attractions in the national park and also seeing various wildlife species like the big 5 which include elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos and rhinos.

During your 4 days Manyara and Serengeti safari, you will engage in morning and afternoon game drives during your safari in Serengeti national park and Lake Manyara national park which will begin and end in Arusha.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park

Your guide will pick you up from Kilimanjaro international airport and brief you shortly about your safari. After you have been briefed about 4 days Tanzania safari, you will be driven to lake Manyara national park which is known for tree climbing lions. You will enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley escarpment as you drive to the national park. You will also have your lunch after checking in at your lodge in the national park as you prepare to engage in an afternoon game drive.

During your afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara national park, you will see various wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, impalas, gazelles as well as bird species like flamingos along the shores of Lake Manyara which is a shallows alkaline lake. You will return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at Twiga lodge.

Day 2; drive to Serengeti national park

On the 2nd day of your 4 days Tanzania safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Serengeti national park which is the oldest national park in Tanzania which is also known for the great wildebeest migration. You will enjoy views of the highlands in Karatu as you continue to the national park where you will have lunch.

After lunch, you will explore the central part of Serengeti national park which has attractions such as the Seronera river as well as a variety of wildlife species such as a large number of predators like lions, leopards and cheetahs. You will be driven back to your lodge after your game drive and dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.

Day 3; hot air balloon and game drive in Serengeti national park

After having breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park during your 4 days Tanzania safari, you will engage in a morning game viewing experience. You will have a hot air balloon experience during which you will enjoy seeing the endless savannah grasslands of Serengeti national park and the different wildlife species such as elephants, giraffes, rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, antelopes, gazelles, zebras, impalas and many others.

You will return to the landing point where you will share champagne and some snacks with your fellow passengers before you drive back to your lodge for lunch. You will also engage in an afternoon game drive after lunch and you will see attractions such as the simba kopjes here you will see lions. You will be driven back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti heritage luxury tented camps and lodges.

Day 4; End of safari

On the last day of your 4 days Tanzania safari, your guide will drive you from Serengeti national park to Arusha. You will have an en-route game drive and later proceed to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at the airport which will bring your safari to an end.
