Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Arusha city to Lake Manyara national park

On the first day of the safari you will be picked from the airport upon arrival by your safari driver who is also a representative of Focus East Africa Tours, you tour safari will brief you about the safari and set off for Lake Manyara national park which is a drive of about 3 hours. You will arrive in the back in evening, check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Full day game drive in Lake Manyara

Full day game drive: On the second day of the safari you will have early breakfast and with your packed lunch you will drive to the park for a full day of game drive, in the you will spot a lush of forest with a mixture of acacia and mahogany tree and through the widows of your vehicle you will see many animals such as impalas, baboons, giraffes, buffaloes, tree climbing lions, leopards and many more. At lunch you will have picnic in one of the picnic site in the park, after lunch you will go on another game drive visiting Lake Manyara for sights of hundreds of pink lesser and greater flamingoes who form a pink shade of the lake. And also you will see many animals which come to drink water, in the evening you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti national park and evening game drive

On the third day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast, checkout of your lodge after meeting your safari driver then head on your drive to Serengeti national park which is a drive of about 6 hours. Serengeti national park is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world and Tanzania hosting large expanses of nature and wildlife, this beautiful park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site covering an area of 14,000 square kilometers which is a home to many wildlife species such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, cheetahs, wildebeests, elands, antelopes, zebras, gazelles and many more. Upon your arrival in the park you will have lunch and have an evening of resting, in the evening you will head to the park for an evening game drive which is done with a help of a spot light so as to spot animals. Animals most especially predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs are spotted, after the experience you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Morning game drive and cultural visit in Masai community

Morning game drive and cultural visit in Masai: On the fourth day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast and head to the park for a game drive, as you drive through the plains of Serengeti national park you will spot many animals such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, cheetahs, wildebeests, elands, antelopes, zebras, gazelles and many under the umbrella-like acacia trees and savannah grasslands. You will also spot many birds and the scenic landscape of the park then head back to your lodge for lunch, in the afternoon you will go for a cultural visit in the Masai community and this visit unveils you to typical African culture, norms, customs and traditions. In the Masai community you will enjoy sights of the circular Bomas built using local materials, traditional dressing code of stripped shukas and ornaments, local farming and live stock practice. You will also be entertained by local dances and songs, and get an opportunity to interact with the local elders who will narrate many local stories to you. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: Morning game drive and transfer back to Arusha

Morning game drive and transfer back to Arusha: On the fifth and last day of the safari you will wake up early in the morning and drive to the park for an amazing game drive, through the short savannah grasslands you will spot predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, leopards and many more. Then head back to your lodge for late breakfast, checkout and embark on your journey back to Arusha which is a drive of about 7 hours, on your way you will have en-route lunch and when you get in Arusha you will be dropped off at your respective hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.
