5 Days Tanzania Wildlife safari begins with pick up from Arusha and then to wildlife viewing destinations in the northern part of Tanzania such as Lake Manyara national park famous for tree climbing lions and Tarangire national park.

During your 5 days Tanzania safari, you will also have a cultural visit to Mto wa mbu town where you will get to interact with the locals and get to know about their way of life and also engage in activities such as traditional dance performances, visiting the local market, visiting the craft shops and the homesteads of the local community.

The northern part of Tanzania also has many other amazing destinations such as Serengeti national park, the Ngorongoro conservation area known for the world’s largest inactive crater, Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha national park among others.

The wildebeest migration also takes place in the northern part of Tanzania in Serengeti national park. Some of the activities you will engage in during your 5 days Tanzania safari include game drives, and also a nature experience along the treetop walkway in Lake Manyara national park.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park

Your guide will pick you up from the airport and welcome you for your 5 days Tanzania safari. You will also have a short briefing about your safari as you prepare to drive to Lake Manyara national park which is home to the tree climbing lions. a big part of this national park is covered by water and you can also see the rift valley escarpment in this national park.

On arrival in Lake Manyara national park, your guide will drive you to your lodge for your lunch. After lunch, you will engage in an afternoon game drive and you will see different wildlife species such as elephants, zebras, gazelles, buffalos, giraffes, bushbucks, waterbucks, impalas, hippos among others. You will be driven back to your lodge after your afternoon game drive for dinner and overnight at Twiga lodge.

Day 2; treetop walkway and afternoon game drive

On the 2nd day of your 5 days Tanzania safari, after having breakfast at your lodge in Lake Manyara national park, you will engage in a nature walk along the treetop walkway which is a suspended bridge in the forests of the national park.

The treetop walkway which is about 400 meters long and 18 meters above the ground goes through the forest and during this activity; you will see various bird species as well as elephants, bushbucks, elephants, waterbucks as well as monkeys among the trees. You will return to your lodge after this experience and have your lunch. You will also engage in an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara national park as you search for various wildlife species. You will have dinner and overnight at the end of the day at Twiga lodge.

Day 3; Mto wa mbu visit and drive to Tarangire national park

Breakfast will be served at your lodge in Lake Manyara national park and after breakfast, you will be driven to Mto wa mbu town for a cultural experience. You will interact with the locals during your visit to this small and beautiful town which is located on the way to Lake Manyara national park. During your 5 days Tanzania safari in Mto wa mbu town, you will visit the local market, the “manyattas” and craft shops and also enjoy traditional dance performances.

You will continue your drive to Tarangire national park which is famous for its big numbers of elephants that can be seen during game drives in the national park. You will have your lunch at your lodge in the national park and later engage in an afternoon game drive during which you will enjoy seeing baobab trees as well as wildlife and bird species. Your dinner and overnight will be at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 4; morning and afternoon game drives

During your 5 days Tanzania safari, you will also have morning and afternoon game drives in Tarangire national park. After breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you around the national park to explore the wilderness and see various wildlife species such as elephants, impalas, zebra, lions, leopards, elands, and giraffes among others. There are also numerous bird species which can be seen during a safari in Tarangire national park.

You will return to your lodge in Tarangire national park and have your lunch after the morning game drive. In the afternoon, you will engage in another game drive to experience the beauty of nature in the national park and to also see various attractions such as the Tarangire river which flows through the national park. You will have dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 5; departure

After having breakfast at your lodge in Tarangire national park, you will be driven back to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at the airport and this will bring your 5 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari to an end.
