6 Days Tanzania Big 5 Luxury Safari is a wildlife viewing experience that starts with pick up in Arusha and then to the famous Lake Manyara national park for an experience with tree climbing lions while on safari.

You will also have a stop in Mto wa mbu town for a cultural experience with the Masai and other locals as you get to know more about their way of life and also see local art and craft work.

You will also have a safari experience in Ngorongoro crater during your 6 days Tanzania safari as you explore the world’s largest inactive caldera and look out for wildlife species such as the big 5 such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos and rhinos.

After your experience in Ngorongoro crater, you will be driven to Serengeti national park for a safari experience in the Seronera area for more of the big 5 and many other wildlife species. This national park is also known for the wildebeest migration which is the annual movement of over 2 million wildebeests in search of greener pasture and water.

You will also visit Tarangire national park where you will see many elephants and baobab trees. During yoru6 days big 5 safari, you will engage in morning and afternoon or evening game drives and also explore some of the destinations for the whole day before returning to your lodge.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and welcome you to Tanzania for your 6 days big 5 safari. You will also have a short briefing before driving to Lake Manyara national park. You will have a short stopover at Mto wa mbu town were you will interact with the locals and see local arts and crafts before continuing your drive to the national park.

You will have your lunch at your lodge after checking in ahead of your afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara national park which is famous for tree-climbing lions. You will also look out for other wildlife species around the diverse habitat in the national park such as elephants, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, impalas among others. You will return to your lodge after your game drive for dinner and overnight at Twiga lodge.

Day 2; drive to Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast at your lodge on the 2nd day of your 6 Days Tanzania Big 5 Luxury Safari, you will drive to the Ngorongoro conservation area for a game drive in the Ngorongoro crater. You will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater where you will spot wildlife species such as lions, leopards, hippos, hyenas, jackals, zebras, wildebeests among others. There are also rhinos which can be spotted during a safari around the Ngorongoro crater.

You will also enjoy seeing flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi as you engage in your game drive and see the beautiful landscapes around the Ngorongoro crater. You will return to your lodge after your game drive for dinner and overnight at Hhando coffee lodge.

Day 3; drive to Serengeti national park

Your breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare for your drive to Serengeti national park in the northern part of Tanzania which is a popular tourist destination and home to the big 5 which includes lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards and rhinos.

You will be driven to your lodge for check in and also to have your lunch. After lunch, you will engage in a game drive as you explore the open savannah plains and kopjes of Serengeti national park looking out for wildlife species such as lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, elands, impalas, gazelles, buffalos, waterbucks, hartebeests and many others. You will be driven back to your lodge after your game drive for dinner and overnight at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 4; full day in Serengeti national park

Breakfast will be served at your lodge before your morning game drive in Serengeti national park during your full day in the national park. You will explore the Seronera area which is popular for big cats such as lions, cheetahs and leopards which can be spotted during a safari among the savannah plains in the national park.

You will have lunch after your morning game drive around Serengeti national park. You will also engage in another game drive after lunch and look out for wildlife species such as elephants, giraffes, waterbucks, hippos, impalas, gazelles, kudu, dik dik, hyenas, warthogs and many others. Your dinner and overnight will be at Osinon camps and lodges.

Day 5; Drive to Tarangire national park

After breakfast at your lodge, you will drive from Serengeti national park to Tarangire national park. Elephants in big numbers can be seen during a safari around Tarangire national park as well as other wildlife species such as giraffes, klipspringers, leopards, lions, buffalos, waterbucks, gazelles, antelopes, impalas among others. You will check in for lunch at your lodge before engaging in a game drive in the national park.

You will drive around the savannah plains and woodlands of Tarangire national park as you look out for different wildlife and bird species during your game drive. You will also enjoy seeing baobab trees in the national park and later proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika lodge.

Day 6; Departure

You will have breakfast at your lodge and your guide will drive you to Arusha where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport which will bring your 6 days big 5 safari to an end.
