Mandhari lodge Lake Manyara National Park
Mandhari lodge is a luxury accommodation owned and operated by Nasikia camps that run different properties across Tanzania. The lodge is situated high on the stunning Manyara escarpment that forms part of the Great Rift Valley. “Mandhari” is a Swahili word that means “sceneries,” “views,” and “landscape,” hence the name of the lodge.
The lodge is situated in the perfect base for Tanzania safari holidays for tourists and travelers who want to explore Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the nearby areas of Karatu and Mto wa Mbu, overlooking the beautiful Views.
How to get there;
One can be at the lodge by road transport from Arusha town, taking approximately 3-4 hours’ drive from Arusha city (the gateway destination to different parks of Tanzania) and 50 minutes to fly to the close lake Manyara airstrip, then a few minutes to be transferred to the camp.
About the lodge
Mandhari Lodge features 9 comfortable and dramatic glass-fronted suites, one honeymoon nest suite, and villas that showcase the magnificence of the Manyara Rift Valley Escarpment, all built in an African traditional style using natural materials such as local woods and thatched roofs.
All suites and Villas are well elevated, decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities with flushing toilets, bathrooms with hot and cold showers, wrapped mosquito nets, free bottled water, slippers in the room, free toiletries and much more.
All suites and villas have private verandas and large sitting areas that give stunning views over the deep valley and surrounding areas.
All suites are well equipped with comfortable, clean beds with double beds for sharing /twin, and single beds for individuals and family rooming options. There is a fireplace at the lodge where guests relax and share experiences about the safaris; not only that, but it also provides warmth to visitors staying during chill weather.

A dining area that serves different menus, especially local cuisine, to meet guests’ choices. They offer buffet breakfast; picnic lunch and dinner served by well-trained, welcoming, and organized staff. you can have meals in any place of your choice, either in bush overlooking the stars in the sky, especially in the night and morning sunrises/beautiful views of the valley or in the dining area
A blue water swimming pool that cools off the hot afternoon; you relax in water overlooking the spectacular views of the Manyara Great rift valley and surrounding areas.

About Manyara national park
Lake Manyara National Park is situated on the northern side of Tanzania occupying the total area of 352 Km squared including 230km squared of Lake Surface. The park is situated between lake Manyara and the great Rift Valley; it is found 126 km southwest of Arusha in Tanzania. The park is among the most visited and protected areas in Tanzania’s Arusha and Manyara regions.
The park contains different animals, which include; Elephants , Buffaloes ,Impalas, Antelopes, Zebras, Warthogs, Monkeys , Hippos ,Hyenas, Baboons, wildebeests, Giraffes etc and over 350 species of birds, like Eurasian Migrant Birds, Acacia Associated Birds, Raptors and 3 endangered Tanzania species like black-collared lovebirds and Ashy starling birds, etc.
Manyara national park is also famous for its Flocks of flamingos and tree-climbing Lions. Manyara National Park offers a variety of attractions and activities, including game drives where you can spot various animals migrating from Tarangire, boat cruises on Lake Manyara, hot air ballooning, bird watching due to the park’s diverse bird species, nature walks, flying safaris, cultural visits to local homes, and many more activities.
